Application Process for Owners

If you work as a substitute or assistant at a Family Child Care Home (FCCH), please follow the Process for Applicants.

1. Review the TEACH Scholarship requirements for owners of Family Child Care Homes (FCCH).

2. Review the TEACH Directory of Degrees and Credentials to select a school.

3. Login or create a personal account.
Be sure to use your personal email address.

4. Upload documents and completed education. Everyone must submit at least an account agreement, high school/GED, and a DCF transcript.
Have each document saved as a PDF file. Documents with multiple pages must be saved in one file.

5. Fill out the application.
You are done when the status is WAITING FOR EMPLOYER.

6. Log OUT of your personal account.
You will have to login to both your personal account and a separate Business Account to complete a TEACH application.

7. If you don't already have access to the child care program's business account, fill out the online request form. Please allow 2-3 days for us to review and approve access.

8. Login to the Business Account.
Remember, the Business Account username is always the DCF-issued license number

9. Fill out the sponsor portion of the application.
You are done when the status is either SUBMISSION COMPLETE or PENDING DOCUMENT VERIFICATION.

10. Check your email regularly
If your application needs an update, we will send you an email. Updates must be submitted promptly or your application will be closed.

11. The scholarship contract will be awarded by email 4-6 weeks from you accepting and submitting the application.
